Formally, the criteria for an employment contract described in Art. 57 TC, do not require the employer to further clarify its content. But in practice, it is beneficial for the employer to describe in detail the duties of the employee, his possible responsibility, and the rights granted to him in order to facilitate his work processes. It is for this that a job description is required in this case as a bus driver.
Sample job description of a bus driver
1. General section
- The bus driver reports to the head of the traffic service.
- The candidate for this job must meet the following requirements:
- secondary or secondary specialized education;
- successfully passed the medical examination;
- driving experience from 1 year;
- rights of category “D”.
- During the absence of the bus driver (vacation, illness, or business trip), his responsibilities for driving the bus are transferred to another driver, appointed by the head of the traffic service.
- The bus driver is hired and dismissed by the head of the transport company, on the recommendation of the head of the traffic service.

- Observe the speed limits when driving at a stop.
- Open and close doors in a timely manner.

- Provide timely refueling of the bus with fuel and other necessary substances.
- Eliminate minor faults promptly within the limits of your knowledge.
- Supervise the replacement of defective and worn parts.
- Make announcements to passengers in due order.
- Participate in the current repair of the bus.
- Strictly adhere to the schedule, not deviating in time by more than 2 minutes (late or overtaking).

- Receive from the employees of the enterprise the data necessary for the quality performance of the assigned duties.
- Require management to cancel orders that violate traffic rules and established safety standards.
- Stop the movement of the bus in the event of a serious malfunction.
- Have access to the parameters by which the assessment of its activities is carried out.
- Require management to ensure measures to maintain the bus.
5. Working conditions
The bus driver has the following features in his work:
- Before entering the track, he receives vouchers for refueling.
- His transfer to another route occurs no more than once every 6 months.
- If the passenger compartment is overcrowded, it can stop their further boarding.
- Attends professional training courses at the expense of the employer, in accordance with the schedule established at the enterprise.

The bus driver is not only responsible for transporting people but also ensures their safety during the trip. This places serious demands on the quality of his job description. Therefore, it is drawn up with the help of a lawyer, personnel officer, head of the traffic department. Only after taking into account their comments, the instruction is submitted for signature to the head of the company. The employee himself signs it during employment, demonstrating agreement with its provisions. It may also require the signatures of other employees with whom the document was agreed, in accordance with the rules of the applicable document flow.
